Medical Records Clerk

  • Compensation: $22/hr - $24/hr

Do you have a passion for keeping things organized and confidential? Are you a master of medical terminology and electronic health records? If so, we want you on our team as a Medical Records Specialist!
In this role, you will ensure the security and confidentiality of medical records and member forms. You'll update medical records promptly and file/scan outside medical records into electronic charts according to protocol. You'll also respond to requests for medical records and maintain active and inactive medical records.
As a Medical Records Specialist, you'll train incoming staff and provide support during internal and external audits. You'll also demonstrate your understanding of safety policies and maintain compliance with HIPAA policies.
The ideal candidate will have:
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Superior customer service and communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
    • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 1 year of work experience in a medical setting and using electronic health record systems are required.
    
Hours: 8am-430pm Monday to Friday
Pay rate range is $22-24/hr

This is a contract non-benefited role for 3 months to start. as always there is a potential to be hired if a match on both sides, full benefits would be provided upon permanent hire.
