Float Certified Medical Assistant

AMI Healthcare Staffing, part of AMI Network has an immediate opportunity to start a contract to hire role on Monday, March 13th, 2023 as a Float Certified Medical Assistant that can go between 3 locations-Emeryville (most of the time), Manteca ( 2 times per month or as needed), and Rohnert Park ( 1 time per month or as needed) on a set schedule weekly. You must be able to work 8-430pm in Emeryville, 730-4pm in Manteca and Rohnert Park. NO FLEXIBILITY.

Job Duties:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for rooming patients and maintaining efficient clinic flow
  • Assist and anticipate the needs of the provider;
  • Monitor and manage provider’s schedule
  • Track and edit medical provider’s reports
  • Obtain medical and/or diagnostic report(s) upon the provider’s request
  • Perform secretarial duties for the provider such as documentation, sorting through mail, and filtering correspondences
  • Triage, digest, and relay messages to the provider
  • Perform inventory of medical supplies as well as make orders when needed.
  • Perform various telephone duties as needed, which include speaking with patients as well as medical, insurance, and legal professionals
  • Assist with patient education.
  • Oversee medical equipment, assure their proper functioning, and transport to other facilities when necessary
  • Maintain clean and well-stocked exam rooms.
  • Travel to office locations in Walnut Creek, Castro Valley, and Emeryville.
  • Provide coverage for other members of the Back Office staff when needed, as well as assist with coverage in the Front Office and Pharmacy Department
  • Assist with the acupuncture clinic, which includes removing acupuncture needles.
  • Track, facilitate, and expedite the completion of medical forms
  • Facilitate prompt filing of a Doctor’s First Report of Occupational Injury or Illness (DFR)
  • Collect urine specimens from patients and perform preliminary urine drug screens as needed.
  • Medical scribing

  • Emeryville 8:00AM- 4:30PM 7:30 AM-4:30PM

Position Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistant
  • Must be able start on Monday, March 13th, 2023.
  • Must be able to provide Covid vaccination proof or a doctors note for exemption.
  • EMR experience
  • Pay increases with years of experience.
  • Spanish fluency is a plus.
