Job Title: Donor Relations Coordinator

 

A local San Francisco Non-Profit Healthcare organization providing mental health care, social services, and academic support for children and youth is seeking an Donor Relations Coordinator.

 

Direct hire, permanent position accepting candidates immediately for next week's interviews.

 

Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt, hybrid position, Mon.-Fri, 8-5, and located in the Sunset District of San Francisco.

 

Salary: Hourly rate of $26-$30 an hour.

Position Summary:

 

The Donor Relations Coordinator is responsible for supporting expansion initiative by maintaining a robust donor database, producing high-quality donor acknowledgments, and providing donor stewardship. The role involves prospect research, database management, financial reconciliation, and record-keeping.

  • Experience in donor research and prospecting
  • Ability to communicate a clear and urgent message for funding in writing
  • Capacity to manage donor database software for stewardship, acknowledgment, and research
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling work
  • Demonstrates interest in Edgewood’s mission and programs
  • Achieves work objectives systematically, efficiently, and in a timely manner
  • Establishes good internal and external working relationships

 

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate prospect research for individual and institutional funders
  • Manage Raiser’s Edge gift entry and acknowledgement and database maintenance
  • Create compelling and accurate acknowledgment letters and other donor correspondence
  • Provide administrative support to Chief Development Officer
  • Serve as the first contact point for phone calls, mail, and other inquiries coming to the Development Department
  • Provide database support for Development staff in the form of mailing lists, queries, and reports for print and online communications, and more
  • Serve as database liaison to Auxiliary and Board of Directors
  • Manage reconciliation of monthly revenue statements with Finance
  • Maintain shared drive files and folders
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years+ experience with Raisers Edge, Donor Perfect, Sales Force, or other relevant donor software required.
  • 3 years of experience in non-profit fundraising, preferably in prospect research
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of iWave, Candid or other prospect research databases.
  • Ability to effectively articulate Edgewood's mission and programs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with donors and staff members in other departments.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products: Word, Excel, and Outlook
