Counselor (Hybrid)

A local San Francisco Non-Profit Healthcare organization providing mental health care, social services, and academic support for children and youth is seeking a Counselor.

Direct hire, permanent position accepting candidates immediately for next week's interviews.

Job Type: FT, Non-Exempt, Hybrid: Community work, some work from home or office location and located in the Sunset District of San Francisco.

Salary: Hourly $24.75 to $27.50

The Counselor provides family-based mental health counseling, support, crisis intervention, and case management services to children and families referred through social services, probation, or mental health departments. The primary role is to provide direct support to the child, family, and team members with the goal of stability and sustainability for the child and family leading toward permanency.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide intensive home-based services and care coordination consistent with the Wraparound Model.
  • Participate in on-call coverage, treatment reviews, program staff meetings, supervision, and Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal and external providers and natural supports.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and paperwork.
  • Attend and participate in required meetings and pieces of training.

Applied Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Two years of relevant experience working with children, youth and families.
  • Own vehicle, California driver’s license, and insurance.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work early mornings and evenings as needed.
  • Strong organization and writing skills.
  • Ability to work as a team player with a diverse population.
  • Bilingual skills desired.
