AMI Healthcare Staffing, part of AMI Network, has a 6-12-months contract with a possible extension for on-site Mental Health Clinical Supervisor to supervise 12 therapist and provide supervision hours and training with one of the largest leading non-profit mental health providers in GA. Our client provides a wide range of services to the community, including counseling for the community at large, school-based mental health counseling, homes for abused and neglected foster children with emotional and behavioral problems who are in state custody, supportive housing for single and parenting young people ages 17-24 who are homeless or aging out of foster care, in-home services and community programs that strengthen families, outreach, drop-in and community housing for older teens, young adults, and young adult families, a community center, an adoption program for children in foster care, and training for professionals, human service workers, educators, volunteers, individuals who work within the community, other organizations, and children, youth, and families. The goal for all services is to unlock the potential that resides in each person to help them become self-sufficient, contributing adults who have the skills to navigate life's challenges.
This is a full-time position and typically works Monday – Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm or 8:00am-6:00pm but requires flexibility. Some later evenings and Saturday may be required.
The Mental Health Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for providing positive role modeling to therapists, promoting professional growth and self-esteem, teaching and reinforcing evidenced-based clinical services, and maintaining an appropriate case load. They will be responsible for assessing consumer's history of trauma, acuity, strengths and needs, screening, evaluating and triaging potential consumers to determine what services/evidence-based interventions should be offered, and assessing co-occurring disorders and making referrals to relevant services based on the consumer's ASAM level.
The Mental Health Clinical Supervisor will administer validated assessment tools specific to evidence-based practice, develop and monitor IRRPs, evaluate and document the consumer's level of functioning, and progress towards attainment of goals.
The Mental Health Clinical Supervisor will provide after-hours crisis support via telephone (On-Call), make necessary referrals to meet consumer's health, well-being, education, mental health, and employment needs, and participate in Team Meetings for all consumers/members/residents/young adults as needed. They will collaborate and communicate with other programs in the Large Non-Profit continuum in the provision of services, collaborate and consult with other providers and entities in the provision of best care services to consumers, and advocate on behalf of consumers with other agencies to include coordinating services.
The Mental Health Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for providing therapy for adults, adolescents, children, and families who are referred to the Large Non-Profit Counseling Center, demonstrating exceptional engagement skills and clinical expertise in providing trauma-focused mental health treatment to the target consumer population. They will manage clinical caseload, use preventive intervention techniques when needed to prevent injury (to self or others), provide outpatient services to include providing individual counseling, family counseling/training and/or group counseling/training to consumers with MH, co-occurring or substance abuse disorders as classified by the DSM IV-TR and DSM 5, and facilitate groups (i.e., 7 Challenges, DBT skills, GTREM, Nurturing Parent, STEP, anger management, etc.) as needed.
The Mental Health Clinical Supervisor will adhere to the organization policies and procedures, provide individual supervision weekly, provide group supervision at a minimum of monthly, provide feedback for hard to manage cases, and attend Fellowship meetings, participate in clinical consultation, and review case studies. They will maintain timely documentation of all case activities in accordance with the Center policy, complete all billing expectations within designated timeframes, and practice the organization's requirements.
Must haves:
•Master’s degree in the field of social work, counseling and/or marriage and family therapy and maintain full licensure. Three years post full licensure and CPC-S Credential required
