We are excited for you to join an Acute Behavioral Health Facility as an In-Patient Assessment Therapist for the Night-Shift! Our client is seeking a caring and dedicated individual with a background or interest in behavioral health to support the patients in an Inpatient Program.

As an In-Patient Assessment Therapist, you will have the opportunity to provide assessment evaluations, determine the level of care needed, make treatment recommendations, and provide full risk assessment and safety planning. You will also be responsible for taking inquiry and crisis calls and setting up appropriate assessment appointments for our patients.

They are a 90-bed behavioral health facility in Portland, Oregon dedicated to healing patients' minds and bodies through a combination of high-quality clinical services and holistic healing practices.

This position is with AMI Healthcare staffing, part of AM Network and is a 3-month contract to start.

Hours: Monday to Friday 7pm-730am or 9pm-930am (NIGHT SHIFT ONLY)

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Master's degree in a human relations field like Social Work or clinical related mental health field.
  • Preferably two or more years of experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting
  • A minimum of two years experience in a psychiatric hospital setting
  • Licensure to practice in the State of Oregon as a mental health professional-LPC-Associate, LPC, LMSW, LCSW is required.
  • You should also have a working knowledge of the DSM-IV and the Mental Status Exam, as well as the Addiction and Recovery field.
  • Successful completion of Crisis Management and Service Excellence training is required within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in any restraining procedures.
  • Some occasional overtime and flexible hours may be required.
  • 100% work on site.
