Our client provides a wide range of services to the community, including counseling for the community at large, school-based mental health counseling, homes for abused and neglected foster children with emotional and behavioral problems who are in state custody, supportive housing for single and parenting young people ages 17-24 who are homeless or aging out of foster care, in-home services and community programs that strengthen families, outreach, drop-in and community housing for older teens, young adults, and young adult families, a community center, an adoption program for children in foster care, and training for professionals, human service workers, educators, volunteers, individuals who work within the community, other organizations, and children, youth, and families. The goal for all services is to unlock the potential that resides in each person to help them become self-sufficient, contributing adults who have the skills to navigate life's challenges.
We are seeking a Mental Health Clinician with experience in substance use disorder treatment and trauma-informed care to join an amazing and well run team as a Mental Health Clinician. As a Mental Health Clinician, you will play a vital role in facilitating and coordinating the referral and intake process for potential consumers. This is a remote position that requires a fully licensed clinician in the state of GA and the ability to clear a Fingerprints, Drug Test, and provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination.
Hours: Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:30 am - 5:00 pm but schedule could shift up to 8pm as needed. Schedules are flexible based on need and site assignment. Evening and weekend hours may be required.
Responsibilities:
Conduct substance abuse assessments, treatment planning, and diagnosis
Assess consumer's history of substance use, trauma, acuity, strengths, and needs
Screen, evaluate and triage potential consumers to determine what services/evidence-based interventions should be offered
Administer biopsychosocial assessments and other required screening tools
Develop initial IRPs/Treatment plans
Provide initial clinical impressions
Administer Biopsychosocial assessment
Administer Caregiver Strain Assessment
Administer Child and Adolescent Needs/Adult and Strengths assessment (CANS/ANSA) as needed
Administer program required screening tools such as ACE, PHQ-9, and GAD-7
Facilitate Government Performance Results Act (GPRA) interviews to clients who are receiving and/or have received services.
Facilitate ASAM I and ASAM II group services as needed
Collaborate with other providers and entities in the provision of best care services to consumers
Maintain small caseload of ongoing clients adhering to program, organizational, and accrediting standards
Complete point of entry documentation and all other intake scheduling
Timely documentation of all case activities in accordance with Center policy
Maintain detailed case files and other documentation in 100% compliance with standards
Attend and participate in all meetings and supervision as required and in accordance with the policy and procedures
Adhere to the companies Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics, and GA Code
Maintain consumer confidentiality according to 42 C.F.R Part 2 and HIPAA
Demonstrate exceptional customer service
Qualifications:
Licensure as LPC, LAPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LAMFT, or Postdoctoral Psychologist candidate (fully licensed mental health professionals preferred)
Trained in Evidence-based Practices for Trauma and SUD (e.g., TF-CBT, ARC, MI, EMDR, etc.)
Additional certifications in substance use disorder treatment preferred (e.g., CACII, MAC, CPS, CARES)
Experience conducting Substance Abuse Assessments, treatment planning, and diagnosis
Experience treating individuals with SUD and COD
Experience with treatment at ASAM Level I or Level II
Skilled in providing individual, family, and group therapy
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and within a team setting
Proficient in MS Office and office management software
