We’re partnered with a growing non-profit in San Diego to find a Contract Medical Director (Psychiatrist) to work within a brand-new SUD program with the organization!

This facility has been around for over 100 years and currently has just under 30 different programs for the underserved of San Diego. The SUD program aims to be the best in the county with passionate leaders and healthcare professionals paving the way!

We’re looking for someone to oversee the clinical operations, perform chart reviews, conduct psychiatric evaluations and prescribe as appropriate, and spearhead and lead a successful outpatient SUD program (the goal is to have the BEST in the county!).

Details:
• 6-8 hrs per week
• On-Site in San Diego
• 1099 role
• Hourly pay ~$200-225/hr

Responsibilities:

• Provide Medical Supervision to support staff.
• Develop protocols and procedures.
• Conduct Psychiatric evaluations, diagnose, and prescribe appropriately.
• Identify psychiatric emergencies and perform crisis interventions.
• Provide direction and leadership within a new program.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO (Psychiatrist)
• CA Medical License
• Covid vaccine required.
• 2 years of experience in Substance Abuse/Addiction Medicine
