Therapist

Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of those in your community? AMI Healthcare Staffing, part of AMI Network, is working with a multicultural organization committed to social justice, offering support services to predominantly low-income people of color in the Bayview and Hunters Point areas and throughout San Francisco. They aim to empower individuals and build a safe, clean, healthy community.

The organization seeks a compassionate and non-judgmental Mental Health Clinician to join the team on a contract basis.

Responsibilities include:

  • Receive referrals and handle initial contact with clients
  • Maintain a high level of productivity
  • Arrange additional evaluations when needed
  • Provide case management and crisis intervention
  • Document all client contacts and make home visits when necessary
  • Participate in clinical case conferences and continuing education training
  • Collaborate and consult with collateral sources.
  • Maintain a productivity level of at least 288 minutes per day of direct client services.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field
  • At least two years of clinical experience in mental health setting for the chronically mentally ill
  • Eligibility to practice clinical treatment in the State of California
  • Computer literacy and experience with AVATAR and MediCal billing system a plus
  • Must be licensed or license eligible in one of the following: LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, AMFT, ASW, APCC, or equivalent.
  • Supervision and hours will be available for associate level candidates.

This contract role starts the week of June 9th and will run until 7/30/23, with a possible extension as a temporary-to-hire opportunity.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5:30pm or 8:30am-5pm onsite
