We are looking for a passionate LVN for a Psychiatric clinic in Fairfield, CA. This clinic provides essential services that are intended to provide stabilization and increased independence for clients with serious mental illness leading to positive clinical outcomes. This is a 3 month assignment and they are looking for someone to start right away.

Hours: 8:00 - 4:30
Monday - Friday
Pay $30-$40/hr.
Duration: 3 months temp contract.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with psychiatric care needs under supervision of the Director of Nursing
• Provide care in the clinic and community settings for stabilization and increased independence
• Comply with all policies and procedures for optimal pharmaceutical and client care services
• Attend team meetings, communicate observations of client medication compliance and response
• Communicate with interdisciplinary teams and triage client concerns to appropriate parties
• Maintain accurate clinical records and client confidentiality according to HIPAA standards
• Meet documentation and billing standards set by county, MediCal, and Caminar
• Assist Psychiatrists with treatment authorization records and follow-up with insurance companies
• Administer medications as ordered, complete focused assessments, and provide medication education
• Support client personal health and facilitate compliance with labs/blood work
• Participate in treatment planning and implementation for client medication compliance
• Drive to required locations using own or agency vehicle, documenting mileage
• Promote social rehabilitation philosophy and practice within the agency and the community
• Develop and maintain respectful, caring, and empowering relationships with clients

Requirements:

• California license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician
• Minimum one year of demonstrated work experience with SMI/DD preferred
• Knowledge of social rehabilitation is preferred
