Position Type: 3-month temporary contract position

Pay Rate: $48-$58 per hour
Schedule: 8:30am-5:30pm with a 1 hour lunch break from 1-2pm.
Job overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Dental Hygienist to support our nonprofit client in Oakland, CA. In this position, you will be responsible for providing preventative and therapeutic dental services to patients in a clinical setting.
Key responsibilities:
Conducting patient assessments and obtaining medical histories
Cleaning teeth and removing plaque and tartar
Applying fluoride and other treatments to prevent cavities
Taking and developing x-rays
Educating patients on oral hygiene and preventative care
Assisting dentists with procedures as needed
Qualifications:
Valid Dental Hygienist license
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting
Understanding of dental terminology and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Scope of Work:
Be able to see 8-10 members per day, and complete accurate documentation within 72 hours of visit into EDR system
Provide comprehensive, high quality dental services to members, regardless of age, sex, gender identification, income, national origin or language.
Provide care on Saturdays, after-hour clinics, as requested by Supervisor.
Consider individuals’ cultural, psychological, social and environmental factors in creating treatment/care plans.
