Position Overview: We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team on a 3-6 month contract, with the potential for permanent hire. The ideal candidate will have fluency in English and Cantonese, Mandarin, or Spanish, and be able to work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A driver's license is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy services to patients in accordance with professional standards, state regulations, and facility policies.
Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine patients' needs, abilities, and goals.
Develop individualized treatment plans and implement interventions to maximize patients' functional independence.
Monitor patients' progress and modify treatment approaches as needed.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies to improve daily living skills.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Advanced practice or certifications in occupational therapy are desirable.
Minimum of 3 years clinical practice in adult physical disability required, with a preference for 5 years of experience.
Experience working with the geriatric population is essential.
Strong foundation in clinical practice, including orthopedics, neurology, cardiac/pulmonary, progressive diseases, dementia, and other medical conditions.
A strong commitment to aging in place and community-based healthcare.
