We are partnered with a growing Medical Group searching for a highly-skilled and creative Director of Program Development to join their team in Boston, Massachusetts.
This role requires a strategic thinker who is passionate about developing ways to improve managed care programs for thousands of high-risk and elderly patients, while adding real value to the health plans and providers you'll partner with. In other words, you’ll want to analyze current product offerings, partnerships, and trends; and based on your findings, create new ways to benefit payors, members, and providers alike.

You may be happy to learn this Director role requires NO STAFF MANAGEMENT, and reports to a very experienced Sr. VP who will provide a great deal of guidance and resources, without micromanaging your work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop solutions that support profitable growth and will enhance existing health plan partnerships, attract new strategic partners, engage providers across the care continuum, activate new patients and improve their sense of well-being, deepen or expand geographic market presence, and generate excitement from investors.
Design new program, product, or service offerings that stay current within the competitive landscape, and ahead of managed care industry trends.
Analyze current care model and technology competencies, market opportunities, and investigating avenues to extend capabilities into new services and populations.
Drive initiatives that align with organizational priorities, providing thought leadership to cross-functional team
Create solutions that will improve healthcare outcomes, enhance joy in the workplace, promote partner satisfaction and will ensure delivery of the right care, at the right place, at the right time, in the right care setting.
Cultivate the franchise model by identifying and leveraging competencies, increasing market penetration, and positioning for expansion.
Evaluate new lines of business (example: health plan product design, accountable care organizations, fee-for-service initiatives) and generate valuable insights to Executive Team.
Craft win-win-win partnership opportunities that optimize economics, timing, and outcomes for all stakeholders in a value-based/risk-based healthcare environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
MBA / MPH / MHA preferred (or BA/BS with years of equivalent experience)
Minimum 3 years' experience managing programs or service/product lines in the healthcare / managed care industry (product development, strategic operations, innovation, business development, population health, corporate development, full-scale implementations, marketing, or analytical roles)
Experience with healthcare technology platforms/portals
Salary is dependent upon education and total years of experience.
