Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced People Manager to join our Mental Health non-profit client in San Mateo, CA, on a 90-day contract basis. As a People Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our team's success by fostering a positive and productive work environment. Your excellent interpersonal skills, leadership capabilities, and organizational acumen will be essential in driving the team's performance and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide a diverse team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive work culture.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback to team members to enhance their skills and career development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align goals, priorities, and strategies.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Address and resolve employee concerns, maintaining a high level of employee satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the recruitment and onboarding process by participating in interviews and training.
  • Monitor and track team performance metrics, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive work environment that values diversity and respects individual contributions.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in a people management role or similar leadership capacity.
  • Mental Health experience
  • Ability to adapt to a hybrid work environment (onsite and remote).
  • Located in or near San Mateo, CA, and available to start immediately.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
