We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in a dynamic float position. As a Float LVN, you will provide essential nursing care, administer medications, conduct treatments, and supervise caregivers in both clinic and home settings. Your role will involve covering vacancies, PTOs, LOAs, and call-offs across two convents, two clinics, and home visits in the Fremont Area.
Flexible schedule including weekends, day and evening shifts.
40 hours/week
3 month temp to hire contract
Pay: $32-$38/hr
**Responsibilities:**
Provide high-quality nursing care to patients within two convents, two clinics, and during home visits in accordance with established protocols and standards.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to proper techniques.
Supervise caregivers, providing guidance and support in delivering effective patient care.
Perform specimen collection, handling, and processing following established procedures.
Monitor and assess patients' conditions, recognizing and reporting any changes to the appropriate medical personnel.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
Conduct home visits in the community to assess patient needs, provide education, and deliver nursing interventions.
Respond to emergencies and provide immediate nursing interventions as required.
Work flexible shifts, including AM and PM shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed to cover vacancies, PTOs, LOAs, and call-offs.
Effectively communicate with patients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
**Qualifications:**
Valid California LVN license.
Minimum of one year of nursing experience in clinical or home health settings.
Proficiency in medication administration and treatment procedures.
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to nursing care.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
