Healing Oaks Clinic, located in the heart of sunny San Diego, is thrilled to announce exciting opportunities for Associate Mental Health Clinician to join our passionate and dedicated team. If you're passionate about promoting rehabilitation, recovery, and providing top-notch care coordination, we want to hear from you! As an Associate Mental Health Clinician you'll be at the heart of our client-centered approach. Your role will involve providing clinical care coordination, rehabilitation, and recovery services for adults aged 18+ with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) on an outpatient basis.

Positions Available

Project In Reach: Care coordination and crisis intervention services to individuals aged 18 and above who have serious mental illness or co-occurring disorders. This assistance covers a period of 10-30 days prior to their release from detention facilities and continues for up to 120 days post-release. The services provided encompass mental health assessments, individual and group counseling, case management, and the research and organization of essential community resources to facilitate the client's successful transition back into the community.

Older Adult CC: Bring your expertise to support adults aged 60+ on their journey towards recovery. You'll employ evidence-based practices tailored to this unique population.

Crisis Intervention CC: Dive into the heart of crisis situations and provide specialized care that makes a difference. Your bilingual skills will be a tremendous asset.

Co-Occurring Disorder CC: Empower clients dealing with co-occurring disorders by implementing innovative strategies and promoting recovery.

TAY Specialist CC: If you have a passion for working with Transitional Aged Youth, this is the role for you. Your expertise will guide young adults towards a brighter future.

Mobile Outreach CC: Provides clinical care coordination, rehabilitation and recovery services for adult clients, ages 18 to older adult with severe mental illnesses on an outpatient basis, including adults with a co-occurring disorder.

What We’re looking For:

We're seeking individuals with a wealth of knowledge, skills, and abilities, including:

  • Proficiency in BPSR guidelines and principles of care
  • Expertise in brief solution-focused and recovery approaches
  • Familiarity with legal and ethical considerations in professional service delivery
  • A knack for group dynamic theories and facilitation methods
  • Solid understanding of diagnostic categories (DSM-V)
  • Awareness of current trends and issues in the behavioral health care field
  • Experience working with culturally diverse populations
  • A strong foundation in clinical assessment, counseling theory, and care coordination principles

What We Need!:

To excel in this role, you should have a Master's degree or higher in social work, marriage and family therapy, or counseling, with relevant experience. Whether you have post-master's experience working with SMI clients or have expertise in working with specific populations like older adults, crisis situations, co-occurring disorders, or transitional aged youth, your skills and passion are valued here.
