Dean / Associate Dean

We are partnered with a reputable health care college that has tripled student enrollment in the last 2 years is looking to hire an Associate Dean of Nursing for their established ASN, BSN, & programs with a combined student enrollment of 1,000+!

The role is supported by a wonderful Dean of Nursing who is nationally recognized for his academic leadership including overseeing a six-year major federal grant for promoting improved health care outcomes for diverse populations and creating a diverse faculty workforce.

Important Note: The current Dean is nearing the end of his career and is looking to hire a passionate and driven leader who is excited at the prospect of becoming the new Dean within the next 12-24 months!

You’ll be at the forefront of some exciting projects including adding a Nurse Practitioner Program, expanding online offerings, and even opening new locations.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Direct the development, implementation, and evaluation of academic programs, in collaboration with the Provost, Dean of Nursing, and Program Directors
  • Provide leadership and direction to faculty and staff in the development of initiatives and activities that promote student success and meet expected program and student learning outcomes
  • Monitor budgets and provide initial approval of program expenditures, and recommend allocation of resources that are consonant with strategic directions and quality improvement in nursing and other programs
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory agencies, and monitor industry trends and accreditation standard
  • Participate in development and implementation of policies and procedures which affect students and faculty
  • Lead the development and enhancement of current and new programming. Be responsible for academic assessments, effectiveness, analyzing data, bringing forth recommendations to the curriculum committee, and aligning with institutional effectiveness.
  • Develop comprehensive recruitment, retention, assessment, mentorship, and development of faculty.
  • Manages and maintains compliance with College and regulatory and accrediting bodies including but not limited to CCNE/ACEN Collaborate with the Director of Nursing Education, the Assistant Director of Curriculum, and the Curriculum Committee to develop program assessment methodology, review data, prepare reports, and create programmatic improvement plans to meet standards

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must either have a Doctoral degree in Nursing or PHD, or be on track to obtain one in 2020 (no exceptions
  • Must have 2+ years of leadership experience in higher education such as: Associate Dean of Nursing, Director of Nursing, Dean of Nursing, etc.
  • Registered Nurse License (RN)
