We are partnered with a federally qualified healthcare center with locations across Los Angeles, Riverside, & San Bernardino counties to help them find a Director of Nursing for their 8 ambulatory clinics.
Their mission is to minimize disparities in healthcare access and outcomes by providing superior-quality, patient-centered healthcare. They provide a variety of services in medically underserved areas such as: primary care, preventative care, minor emergency services, and some specialty services including dental care. As an organization, they take immediate and effective action to remedy all health-related challenges, whether it is a physical ailment or a mental diagnosis. You will play a key role in this mission by overseeing their nursing teams to ensure consistent, quality care.
Responsibilities:
Oversees the daily operations of the medical clinics and staff duties.
Ability to supervise and motivate clinic staff to perform their duties efficiently.
Exceptional organizational skills to ensure that quality services are provided.
Knowledge of procuring supplies, equipment, and staff needed at the clinic.
Exceptional interpersonal skills for liaising with staff, patients, and healthcare providers, as well as the public.
Proficiency in managing budgets, billing, and negotiating with suppliers and vendors.
Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as competence in working well with an interdisciplinary team.
Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline clinical operations.
Proactively communicates any policy or procedural changes with clinical staff. Addresses any questions from clinical staff and escalates as necessary.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
Comply with federal, state, and local and professional requirements; advise management on needs or actions.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; review professional publications; establish personal networking; participate in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Know and fully understand the functions of electronic medical system.
Assures that clinical and ancillary staff practice within their individual scopes of practice.
Participates in or conducts regular meetings with staff to ensure full understanding and buy-in for all Policy & Procedures.
Improve the quality and efficiency of the level of care delivered to patients
Coordinate with providers, medical assistants and other healthcare professionals to identify their issues and needs.
Manage staff by assigning and delegating tasks as needed.
Design and implement business strategies to help the clinic meet organizational goals.
Exceptional interpersonal skills for liaising with patients, healthcare providers, and specialists, as well as the public.
Act as a liaison between departments, medical staff, and executive team members.
Suggest potential ways to minimize facility costs.
Requirements:
Valid CA Registered Nurse license
2+ years of experience in a supervisory role. Examples of potential titles could be: Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, Lead Nurse, Nurse Supervisor, Director of Nursing, etc.
Salary per employer discretion and commiserate with experience.
