Schedule: Monday-Friday

Position Overview:

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in supporting our non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in San Rafael, CA. You will work closely with our medical team to provide high-quality care to our patients, with a focus on women's health and obstetrics/gynecology (OBGYN) services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive health assessments and screenings for patients presenting with various obstetric and gynecological concerns.
  2. Perform routine physical exams, including breast exams, pelvic exams, and Pap smears.
  3. Diagnose and treat common women's health conditions, such as menstrual disorders, urinary tract infections, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
  4. Provide prenatal care and support to pregnant patients, including monitoring fetal development, managing pregnancy-related complications, and offering prenatal counseling.
  5. Educate patients about contraceptive options, family planning, and reproductive health.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and medical assistants, to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  7. Document patient encounters, assessments, and treatment plans accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Valid Nurse Practitioner license and certification in the state of California.
  2. Some OBGYN experience is required
  3. Excellent clinical skills and ability to work independently within a fast-paced clinical environment.
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  5. Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
  6. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and charting.
