Clinical Therapist (Univeristy Park)

Title: Therapist - Outpatient Services:
Pay: $33-40/hr depending on experience/licensure
SUPERVISION HOURS ARE PROVIDED! 
Schedule: Hybrid/ 40 hours per week

Scope of Responsibility:
As part of our vibrant team, you'll handle assigned cases, conduct intakes, interview clients, identify symptoms, make diagnoses, and develop therapeutic plans. You'll run therapy groups for kids and families, conduct home visits, and collaborate with specialists—all while keeping up with progress notes and paperwork. Your productivity and timely reporting will be key!

Essential Functions:

  • Lead trauma-informed psychotherapy groups, family therapy, and collateral sessions.
  • Conduct intakes and assessments to tailor treatment plans.
  • Embrace flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Create, implement, and modify therapeutic plans as needed.
  • Support children's development with parents in homes, schools, and communities.
  • Work with child protective services to advocate for families.
  • Complete documentation promptly using our Electronic Health Record System.
  • Deliver field-based services to high-risk clients.
  • Represent the organization at community events and outreach activities.
  • Participate in trainings and meetings as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (MSW, MA, Ph.D., PsyD, or MS) with clinical experience in child counseling preferred (under 1000 hours may be considered).
  • Must pass TB test and fingerprint clearance by the Department of Justice.
  • Valid CA driver’s license with an insurable driving record required.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.
  • Current registration with the licensing board is a must.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Additional training may be required for professional growth.
  • Personal vehicle use for work-related duties is necessary, with appropriate insurance.
  • Maintain a valid California driver’s license and clean driving record.

Working Conditions:

  • Split between fieldwork and office environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
