Position Overview:
As a Per-Diem Nurse Practitioner in our liver transplant office, you will play an essential role in providing high-quality care to patients who are undergoing evaluation for liver transplantation, in addition to post-transplant follow-up care. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical exams, and lab results review.
Assist with pre-transplant evaluations and post-transplant management.
Provide patient education regarding liver transplant procedures, medications, and post-operative care.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.) in collaboration with the transplant team.
Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other team members to develop and implement treatment plans.
Address patient concerns and follow up on treatment progress.
Ensure all care is delivered in compliance with applicable guidelines and standards.
Qualifications:
Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in [State].
Experience in transplant medicine, critical care, or hepatology is preferred but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Ability to work on a flexible, per-diem schedule as needed.
