Senior Compensation Specialist Starting Pay: $100,000 annually Location: Hybrid – Office and Remote - Chatsworth, CA

Position Overview:
As a Senior Compensation Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in shaping our compensation strategies. You’ll manage a variety of projects—from job architecture and compensation policy redesign to market analysis and total rewards programs. You’ll collaborate with HR, leadership teams, and staff to ensure our compensation packages are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our mission and goals.
This is a hybrid position, requiring some in-office presence at our headquarters, with flexible scheduling based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Compensation Strategy & Execution: Lead compensation projects including job architecture, policy redesign, and the annual merit increase process.
Market & Internal Analysis: Conduct job evaluations, salary surveys, and ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
Collaboration & Advising: Partner with HR and departmental leaders to analyze roles, job descriptions, and compensation packages. Advise on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job classifications.
Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure compensation programs align with legal requirements (federal, state, local) and support long-term business goals.
System Management: Work closely with HRIS and IT to ensure data integrity and the efficient management of compensation systems.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in HR compensation with hands-on experience in compensation administration, policy development, and market analysis.
Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and compensation software. Experience in compliance with compensation laws and regulations.
Travel: Minimal travel, may include use of personal or company vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: PHR/SPHR, Compensation Specialist certification, or similar credentials.
Additional Experience: Familiarity with I-9, employee records, and compliance regulations (FMLA, ADA, etc.).
