Job Title: NPS Manager of Education Services
Job Type: Full-time Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 per year (this is a contract-to-hire position)

Overview:
As the NPS Manager of Education Services, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of students (ages 5-22) at SLDC. Reporting to the VP of Admissions and Programs, you'll lead our team in delivering exceptional special education programs while fostering growth and achievement. This includes overseeing curriculum, instructional quality, and building strong relationships with parents, school districts, and the IEP process.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee school-wide programs focused on instructional excellence, student safety, and collaboration.
Supervise campus operations daily, ensuring support services (transportation, paraprofessionals) and smooth campus activities.
Stay updated on California Teaching Standards, special education laws, and the IEP process.
Manage internship programs with universities.
Actively support student success and safety.
Train and provide feedback to faculty and paraprofessionals; collaborate on professional development workshops.
Participate in IEP meetings with district personnel and families.
Plan and manage state testing, graduations, and other school events.
Supervise the development of IEPs and ensure they are tailored to students' needs.
Support special education staff in achieving IEP goals.
Provide guidance on assessments, transition plans, and educational goals.
Ensure compliance with reporting requirements for special education.
Offer technical support and resources to program staff.
Lead innovative professional development programs and materials for special education staff.
Analyze student data to track progress and respond to behavioral issues.
Build strong relationships with staff, families, and districts, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts.
Assist the VP of Admissions and Programs with reports and communications.
Collaborate to support SLDC staff, students, and families in all areas.
Supervised Staff:
TOSA, Teachers, Sub Teachers, Instructors, Administrative Assistants
Additional Duties:
Ensure service levels are communicated to the accounting office.
Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal, is essential.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Psychology, Social Services, or related field.
At least 3 years of experience in special education or working with individuals with disabilities.
Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
Valid Mod/Severe CTC credential.
Valid Driver’s License.
Strong clinical, interpersonal, and writing skills.
Knowledge of intellectual disabilities and best practices.
Frequent computer use (80%) and bending/stooping (50%).
Able to implement CPR and crisis intervention techniques as needed.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced office environment with frequent interruptions. The role involves managing multiple tasks, interacting with diverse groups, and working under pressure.
