Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
This is a temporary position until April 29th 2025 (with possibility of extension)
Pay: $21/hr
Reports To: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Manager
 


Position Overview:
We’re seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team in Ventura, CA. In this role, you’ll assist the nursing department in providing care to our guests. You will be responsible for tasks like recording medical histories, checking vitals, collecting lab samples, and scheduling appointments. Your attention to detail and technical skills will ensure accurate guest data management and smooth operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform guest intake and discharges.

  • Complete registration packets for clinic visits.

  • Take vital signs, assist with blood sugar checks, and collect lab samples.

  • Prepare guests for nurse assessments and update their charts daily in our CRM database.

  • Monitor medication management in coordination with the Nursing team.

  • Provide coordination and follow-up for medical appointments.

  • Participate in weekly case meetings, staff trainings, and in-services.

  • Perform administrative tasks like charting, answering phones, and completing guest summaries.

  • Coordinate transportation for medical-related matters.

  • Complete additional tasks as needed to support the facility’s needs.


Requirements:

  • Medical Assistant certification.

  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.

  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Previous experience in a medical office setting.

  • Familiarity with HIPAA (preferred).

  • Knowledge of behavioral health (preferred).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and stoop regularly.

  • Ability to lift, pull, and push as needed.

  • Must be able to read, communicate, and work on a computer.

  • Current BLS certification (CPR/First Aid/AED).
