Job Title: Substitute Teacher 

Hourly Pay: $22–$26/hour DOE & Credentials
Location: Buena Park Campus
Schedule: 8:00 AM–3:00 PM 
Duration: Temporary Position (3–6+ Months)

Position Summary:

Provide classroom instruction for students with special needs, following lesson plans developed by the regular teacher. Ensure a safe, structured learning environment and effectively manage classroom behavior. Flexibility to work across different classrooms and age groups is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction and manage the classroom in the teacher's absence

• Follow assigned curriculum and lesson plans

• Take attendance, maintain classroom rules, and ensure a safe environment

• Support individual student behavior plans; supervise paraprofessionals as needed

• Communicate with parents, related services, and staff as necessary

• Provide written updates or reports for the regular teacher

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and a clear California Education Specialist credential from the CTC (required)

• Moderate/Severe special education experience (required)

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an educational setting

• Knowledge of IDEA and special education best practices

• Strong classroom management and communication skills
