We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse in Newport Beach, Orange County.

You'll be working in an outstanding substance abuse treatment facility located in Newport Beach, CA which was voted “Top Workplaces in 2018 & 2019”. New grads are highly encouraged to apply and your shift will be a blended 3X12 one week and 4X12 the following week. We're looking for 1 day shift LVN and 1 night shift LVN!

The LVN will provide recovery focused services related to the safe and appropriate administration of medical treatment (including medications) as prescribed by the Health Care Practitioner. The LVN will be responsible to provide safe, effective, and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care.

You’ll have the support and resources of one of the most reputable subtance abuse treatment providers in all of OC.

As the LVN working closely with your patients, your key responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and assist in the welcoming, admission, and discharge process for residents
• Transcribe physician orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Monitor self-administration of medication and treatment to residents
• Accurately assess degree of detoxification by utilizing methods such as CIWA and COWS to monitor for over sedation or medical emergencies
• Respond to emergencies and initiate action as outlined in company policies and procedures
• Maintain communication with supervisor, Health Care Practitioner, and/or other key staff regarding resident care
• Perform necessary duties for monitoring the health status of residents per company policies and procedures
• Ensure resident compliance with facility rules and guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

Final salary is per employer discretion and commensurate with experience.
